Princess (Prin) the Ambipom
Lvl. 43 | ♀
Jolly nature. Impetuous and silly.
Phoenix's starter Pokemon, Prin is goofy and mischievous, far preferring to pull pranks and fool around than battle. Her name is a bit of an homage to the trickster Pokemon he had on his first journey, Lady the Furret. Prin snacks on berries and rides on Phoenix's shoulder, adding helpful commentary and assistance to whatever the lawyer happens to be doing.

Simba the Luxray
Lvl. 40 | ♂
Lax nature. Nods off a lot.
Phoenix's first caught Pokemon. A bit lazy and mellow, especially compared to Prin, this Luxray enjoys basking and dozing in the sun. Doesn't like Phoenix all that much at first, but likes the company of other Pokemon and people. Likes scritches. Upon fully evolving, Simba takes it upon himself to look out for the rest of the team, including Phoenix himself.

Flare the Growlithe
Lvl. 25 | ♂
Impish nature. Highly curious.
This little Growlithe hatched from his egg during the dream prom event, and Phoenix woke up to the chipper little guy drooling all over the carpet of his room at Jack Skellington's mansion. Usually seen on his back, wriggling around, playing with the other Pokemon and basically being an overexcitable bundle of joy. He...isn't very smart, however.

Balto the Mightyena
(given by Lightning Farron)
Lvl. 34 | ♀
Sassy nature. Proud of its power.
A rather nibbly gift from Lightning, but a treasured party member nonetheless. Balto enjoys messing with Phoenix and gnawing on various items she finds on or around his person. Or just teething on his arm. He's learned to take this as a sign of affection. Doesn't like staying in her Pokeball, and is usually seen running around with Prin and Butch.

Butch the Quagsire

Lvl. 70 | ♂
Jolly nature. Sturdy body.
Phoenix couldn't believe his luck when Heather showed up to meet him in Goldenrod City and brought with her his old starter Pokemon from his first time in Johto, the amiable blue lump known as Butch. Returned now to his original trainer, Butch is overjoyed to see Phoenix again, and gets along well with the other members of Phoenix's new team. A little mischievous, Butch tends to act out when he doesn't get his way, all with that goofy grin still plastered on his face.

Holly "THE DELIVERER" the Skiddo
(given by Jack Skellington)
Lvl. 15 | ♀
Timid nature. Likes to eat.
Jack's gift to Phoenix following his departure from Johto, Holly is a nervous but capable Pokemon who can surpass any obstacle with ease. Phoenix relies on her to carry extra supplies, and sometimes the other Pokemon if they want a ride. Given that she was a present to him from one of his best friends in Route, Holly is very near and dear to Phoenix's heart.

Cherry the Taillow
Lvl. 20 | ♀
Bold nature. Highly persistant.
The firsr Pokemon that Phoenix caught in Kanto, Cherry is brave and courageous, often when she doesn't need to be. She has a bit of a flair for the dramatic, and enjoys showing off her flying abilities to the rest of the team. She and Holly hit it off right from the start, prompting Phoenix to name her with a similar theme. Often rides on Holly's horns.
